Exhibition at villa caffarena

The Arte and Cuisine aps association is proud to present the painting exhibition “Tracce di Esistenza,” a two-person exhibition featuring artists Paolo Amoretti and Ilaria Berenice. The event will be held on September 1st at 5:00 pm at Villa Caffarena in Serravalle Scrivia (AL), with an inauguration enriched by the poetic performance of Gianluca Gismondi and a concert by the Centro Asociale group, which will contribute to creating a unique and engaging atmosphere. Afterwards, a food and wine refreshment will be offered curated by Arte and Cuisine, to celebrate local art and culture. Admission is free.

“Tracce di Esistenza” proposes an exhibition path that investigates the dialogue between abstraction and the human figure through a series of unpublished works. Amoretti and Berenice masterfully combine the energy of color and sign with stylized silhouettes of faceless human figures, which emerge and dissolve in their canvases. These figures, although depersonalized, are animated by a vital dynamism, suggesting the invisible but tangible presence of the human being in the chaos of the contemporary world.

The silhouettes express the imperfection and vulnerability of man in a society dominated by image and appearance, revealing the essence of a humanity that moves in a sea of energy in constant evolution, between lights and shadows, contrasts and nuances. It is a profound exploration of identity, which invites the viewer to reflect on the true nature of existence.

For both artists, abstraction becomes a universal and instinctive language, a means to express the complexity of the human soul. In a world where the image often overwhelms the individual with the weight of expectations, “Tracce di Esistenza” offers a space of freedom, where the human being can re-emerge in his authenticity.

The exhibition will be open until September 22nd at Villa Caffarena, organized by Arte and Cuisine aps with the patronage of the Municipality of Serravalle Scrivia (AL).

Paolo Amoretti: Humanity Between Shadows and Lights

In the series of works exhibited, Paolo Amoretti transports us to a vibrant and dynamic universe, where the human figure takes shape in a stylized and depersonalized way. The silhouettes in his paintings, although faceless, are full of life and movement. These works explore the human condition, highlighting the fragility of identity in a society that often favors appearance over substance.

Amoretti’s compositions are distinguished by their bold use of color and the tension between abstraction and representation. The figures, reduced to simple outlines, tell complex stories of existence, interaction and change. The black lines, the overlapping colors and the layered textures contribute to creating a sense of perpetual movement, reflecting the energy that pervades each work.

These paintings are an invitation to look beyond the apparent simplicity of the forms, to discover a humanity in continuous transformation, that navigates between the shadows and lights of existence. Amoretti leads us through an emotional and reflective journey, where each figure represents a trace of life, a fragment of a larger collective story.

Ilaria Berenice: Between Energy, Movement and Poetry

The works of Ilaria Berenice, present in the exhibition, offer a deep and visceral vision of humanity, exploring the themes of light, energy and movement. They are an investigation into the very essence of energy, understood not only as a physical phenomenon, but as a vibrant, living entity, which manifests itself through light and colors. Each work pulsates with its own life, capturing the viewer in a vortex of intense colors and fluid forms that evoke a sense of eternal becoming.

These compositions, full of dynamism and vitality, integrate stylized human figures in movement, immersed in a bright and colorful world, following the flow of energy that surrounds them. Light, central to his works, becomes a symbol of life, of a cosmic energy that guides humanity on its path. In some paintings, the figures move in procession towards this light, attracted by a superior force, while in others, the energy explodes from within, expressing pure vitality.

The theme of walking becomes a powerful metaphor for movement and interaction between the human being and energy. The figures, far from a static representation, actively participate in the energy flow, dancing and interacting with it in a kaleidoscope of emotions and movements. The pictorial work thus becomes a vehicle to explore the profound connection between man and the invisible forces that permeate existence.

Through a technique that blends abstraction and representation, Berenice invites us to reflect on our place in the universe, on the continuous search for meaning and connection with something bigger than ourselves. Each canvas tells a story of movement and transformation, where the boundaries between the material and the immaterial, between the visible and the invisible, merge, creating a visual and emotional experience that leaves an indelible mark on the soul of the viewer.

Each painting is accompanied by a poem created specifically by the artist, which acts as an echo, response or question born from the encounter between the visual and the verbal. These poems broaden and deepen the viewer’s sensory and emotional experience, inviting them to embark on a journey where colors, shapes, words and meanings intertwine, giving life to a complete artistic experience.
