Contemplating the Wait

New Ways 46x55cm

I am deeply grateful to have what’s called a “green thumb.” For me, it’s a natural thing: every seed I put in the soil grows into a plant. Watching their ability to adapt amazes me every time. After watering them, the air fills with a new energy, an atmosphere of serenity that relaxes and nourishes me. Perhaps it’s mutual love.

I find this same feeling when I paint with liquid colors, letting the spots dry on their own. I love observing how the water takes shape depending on the surrounding energy. The more I let go of control, the more interesting the game becomes and the result surprising.

Contemplating the wait, each color becomes part of a visual narrative.

The Freedom of Letting Go

The contemplation of waiting is different from expectations. Waiting is living in the moment, an openness to what may unfold. Expectation, on the other hand, projects us into the future, often creating disappointment and suffering. When you let go of expectations, peace comes. It’s a free inner space where unexpected insights and ideas emerge.

Art as Carpe Diem

Observing the forms that emerge spontaneously, I realize that my life follows a similar rhythm: events and opportunities arrive naturally, without obsessive pursuit. It’s not the final result that matters, but being present in the process, in the flow.

With liquid colors, I let the shapes create themselves, becoming a channel through which energy takes shape. Each shape that appears represents a fragment of myself and of life, captured in the moment.

It is not the product that defines the work, but the joy of the process: a moment of authenticity that is revealed in the silence of waiting.
