Every time I talk about myself, the story changes. It’s as if I were many different people and they all coexist inside me. And in the end, maybe, that’s the beauty of it. I am never a single aspect, but the union of many facets that complement each other and integrate into the person I am in totality.
I started painting in Brazil as a self-taught artist, following my instinct and letting myself be guided by inspiration. At first I created collages of fabrics and various materials creating essential and often abstract shapes, but then, back in Italy, doing exhibitions, attending schools and meeting other artists, I wanted to delve deeper into painting by giving more details to what I created, I wanted to create more realistic shapes. In reality, even if more detailed, my works were always very symbolic. Painting, for me, has always been therapeutic. Through it, I was able to reorganize my inner poles and rediscover my femininity, especially when I felt trapped in a world that was too rational and masculine.
In Solitary
I love solitude, I also like being with people, creating together, sharing moments of lightness, I have had my various boyfriends and now I live with my current partner, Paolo Amoretti for 8 years, but it is above all when I am alone that I find my balance. And then, there is my dog: man’s best friend, yes, but also my confidant and companion of adventures.
So I live in nature, in an independent house, with my partner and our dog. It is in this space that I find my energy and my deepest inspirations. Human relationships have always been intense and complicated, but in the end I found someone who respects my spaces, being also an artist as well as a chef, we both live in this balance between solitude and sharing, mutually respecting our need for solitude to create.
This, I believe, is the secret of our relationship, which is longer lasting than any relationship I have ever had.
Solitude as Transformation
Solitude is not only a moment of quiet, but also a great opportunity to face one’s fears, emptiness and one’s inner demons. It is precisely in the emptiness, in the desert, that true transformation occurs.
In the painting Desert above, you see a solitary figure, a person walking in the void, facing his fears, represented by the snake. But in the sky the birds fly free, a symbol of a freedom that awaits those who dare to face their inner chaos.
Then there is The Moon, which represents the culmination of this process. After facing the difficulties, you arrive at a new balance, a sort of rebirth. It is like shining in the vastness of your personal universe, shining like a full moon in the darkness.
Another of my paintings, Transformation, tells of this process. There is chaos, there is disorder, but in the end, everything transforms into harmony, not according to a rational logic, but according to a natural rhythm that emerges from the depths of ourselves, through the light of consciousness, represented by the sun.
All these paintings are available in my shop in the Visionaries series, and represent the journey that solitude can offer us: from chaos, we move to transformation, until we reach a deep harmony that allows us to shine in our personal universe.
In solitude, we face chaos, and through transformation, we find our inner light.
I Am
That
Without
Nothing
Empty
Full
Of me
I Am
That I Am.
