There are faces that don’t seek to explain themselves, but to feel.
Faces that emerge from gesture, color, or even emptiness.
In 2025, three of my abstract faces were selected by Flickr Explore, a special section of the platform where every day a few works chosen by an algorithm attentive to visual quality, originality and interaction are highlighted.
What is Flickr Explore?
Every day, Flickr automatically selects approximately 500 images considered among the most relevant on the entire platform.
This selection is based on an algorithm that evaluates visual quality, originality, interactions, and other engagement signals from millions of images posted daily by users around the world.
Being selected isn’t required or announced: it happens, and it’s always a surprise.
And it’s precisely this spontaneity that makes it a precious little recognition, because it rewards what arises with sincerity, without strategy.
The three works selected in 2025

🖤 Ink and Voids
An abstract face created with ink on paper applied to canvas.
The fluid lines and blurred brush strokes form an enigmatic figure emerging from nowhere, halfway between presence and evanescence.
I used ink sparingly, leaving empty spaces that suggest openness and incompleteness, allowing the viewer to complete the image with their own perception.
Each stroke tells a silent and mysterious story, an invitation to contemplation.
🌌Memories Tree – Fine Art Print 100 × 133 cm
An abstract painting born from the encounter between spontaneity and inner depth.
The flowing lines form a face that merges with the trunk of a tree, evoking a primordial connection with nature.
Made with ink and acrylic on watercolor paper applied to canvas, this work develops from an intuitive process, leaving room for personal interpretation.

💙 Fragmented Emotions
This work explores the delicate balance between shadow and light in the human psyche.
The face dissolves into a play of deep blacks, ethereal blues, and subtle hints of purple, suggesting a journey into the depths of consciousness.
The textured surface adds a tactile dimension.
A fading face, between reality and abstraction, invites reflection on the complexity of the human spirit and the transformative power of vulnerability.
✍️ Conclusion
Three faces. Three moments.
Each spontaneously selected by Explore at different times of the year, as if something—in the gesture, the line, or the essence—had spoken to the viewer.
It’s a small joy I want to share with my followers:
a sign that art, when born from authenticity, always finds a way to reach its destination.
