Martesana explores the emotional bond between memory and place. Inspired by a flowering tree growing along Milan’s Martesana canal, the painting transforms an everyday landscape into a quiet space of contemplation and belonging.

Rather than documenting a specific location, the artwork reflects the way certain places become part of our inner world. The blooming branches, the flowing water, and the gentle light evoke memories that continue to live within us long after we have left them behind.
