Thoughts in Motion

Thoughts in Motion – contemporary abstract figurative painting by Ilaria Berenice, expressive face with flowing lines and vibrant colors

Mixed media on canvas, 100 × 70 cm, 2024

Co-created with Paolo Amoretti

Thoughts in Motion is a contemporary painting by Ilaria Berenice, co-created with Paolo Amoretti. A work that captures thought…A work that captures thought not as a fixed idea, but as a continuous flow in transformation.

The face emerges through movement rather than structure, shaped by bold chromatic fields and fluid, uninterrupted lines. Color does not fill a form — it generates it, tracing pathways that evoke an inner landscape in constant evolution.

Yellows, reds, and deep blues intersect and expand, creating a dynamic tension between intuition and perception. The image appears suspended between emergence and dissolution, as if identity itself were forming in real time.

Rather than portraying a defined subject, Thoughts in Motion explores the state of becoming — where emotion, thought, and awareness move simultaneously, without settling into a final form.

The work reflects presence as a living process: not something stable, but something that unfolds through rhythm, exchange, and transformation.
