This Portrait of a Lion is an artistic depiction of a lion, executed with an approach that favors immediacy and expressiveness of brushstrokes over realistic detail. The technique used is ink mixed with pastels and acrylic to give a flowing effect with shading and drops. The dominant colors are black and gray, with accents of yellow and white that catch the light and add vitality to the work.

I captured the essence of the lion by focusing particularly on the eyes, which are rendered with blue detail and are intense and piercing, almost human in their expression.
