Emotional Transfiguration depicts an abstract face that emerges through a contrast between black and various shades of red. I wanted to capture the essence of a human face, without providing detail or definition except by transfiguring , but a presence is still clearly perceptible.
The contrast between the deep black and red hues gives the face a deep emotional intensity. The absence of precise anatomical details allows the viewer to project their own interpretations and feelings. So abstraction for me goes beyond realistic representation and challenges the viewer to explore the depths of human emotion and experience through form and color. In this way I wanted to convey a presence despite the lack of detail, creating an openness to personal interpretation.
