“India” begins as a face, but it’s also a memory. A vivid fragment of a journey I took years ago, when I traveled across India for two months. What immediately struck me were the gazes: deep, vast as oceans, with large, luminous eyes that seemed to tell an ancient story without the need for words.
In this abstract face, somewhere between painting and drawing, I tried to evoke that same intensity: a gaze that passes through you and stays within you.
The technique is mixed, using acrylic, pastel, and mica pigments, which give the surface an iridescent vibrancy. The paper is applied to canvas, and the work is already stretched and framed, ready to hang.
A unique piece, for those who love art that tells a story, that preserves a distant yet living memory.
